Maryann Finegan Project. The Center has Launched a new Victim Assistance Project for victims of anti-gay harassment and violence. Named in memory of Maryann Finegan, a Cleveland victim of anti-gay violence, the project will provide one-on-one assistance and seek progressive public policies, including police sensitivity training and a police department liaison. Coming Out The Center has started a new rap group for those just coming out. If you're starting to tell family and friends, want to know more about the community, and need support, we're here. The Coming Out rap meets the first Friday of the month at 8 p.m. Call the hotline at 781-6736 for more information.

Living Room on TV. The Living Room will be featured on TV thanks to a new video produced by a student intern from Smith College and Bill Domonkos of Bluesand Productions. "A Blueprint for Healing" will air on Viacom cable and WVIZ Channel 25. Watch for it!

Saturday Night Out. Speaking of Living Room videos, every Saturday night is Video Night in the Living Room at 7 p.m. If you're HIV+, or family of a spectrum member, join us for a relaxing and fun evening. Call the Living Room at 522-1998 for more information.

PRYSM. The Center's gay and lesbian youth group, Presence and Respect for Youth in Sexual Minority, will be included in the 1990 Multicultural Resource Guide for high schools pubished by the National Conference of Aristians and Jews.

PRYSM's spring mailing to area schools was very successful! Eleven colleges and 26 high schools have requested additional information about gay and lesbian youth.

Also, adult advisors are needed to assist PRYSM from the black, Hispanic and Asian communities. The advisors will help as role models for young people from these communities within the gay/lesbian community. Call the Center if you're interested.

Centertainment. The Wednesday Centertainment movie Nights are gaining in popularity. Join us for an enjoyable evening.

On May 11, Centertainment will see Hal Holbrook as King Lear at the Great Lakes Theater Festival at the Ohio Theatre in Playhouse Square. On May 19, we're off to see Showboat with the Cleveland Opera at the State Theatre.

City Meetings. Center meetings with the city are continuing. Barry Withers of the city's Department of Public Safety came to the Center recently to discuss gay community concerns with Aubrey Wertheim, Director of Services.

On March 22, the Center met with Cheryl Davis, Special Assistant to the Mayor, in the Mayor's Office at City Hall. Also attending was Martha Pontoni of the Chronicle and Loretta Mikolaj of the ACLU. Aubrey Wertheim and this writer, Bob Laycock, represented the Center.

Men In Touch. the next Men In Touch group begins May 22. The group is a closed 6-week series dealing with male intimacy, communication and sexuality. Men In Touch is serving as a model for five other groups in Ohio and now two in Detroit, one for men and one for women!
